AFB Refresher Course Clarification

In our March 2017 email newsletter reference was made to the fact that if you hold a Disease Elimination Conformity Agreement (DECA) you must attend a refresher course every two years.

It has been drawn to our attention that no such requirement is contained in the DECA agreement and what we should have said was that we would strongly encourage DECA holders to attend such a discussion session.

Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

I can advise the AFB PMP Management Board is currently in the early stages of planning AFB refresher discussion sessions across the country and it is hoped beekeepers will support this initiative.

The sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes and are a modified version of the full AFB Recognition Course. It should be noted there is no test or assessment associated with the refresher……..
